Celebrated singer-songwriter Bill Curreri records full-length concert video with music industry heavyweights at legendary NY venue

(New York, NY) January 19, 2014– Bill Curreri, one of Rock-Americana’s most talked about new artists, recorded a full-length concert video to a standing-room-only crowd at the Bitter End in Greenwich Village, New York City. Backed by his team of award-winning musicians, Curreri performed seven songs from his debut album “Long Time Gone,” and for the first time ever, performed the title track of his upcoming album “Son Of An American Dream.”

Curreri is gaining considerable notoriety and attention as one of today’s most talented new artists after the September 2012 release of “Long Time Gone.” The album has received widespread critical acclaim and has generated airplay on 47 radio stations in 25 states and has been played in countries around the world. Later this year, Curreri will release his eagerly-awaited second album “Son of An American Dream.” In what is becoming known as the trademark Curreri sound, the songs on his new album bring a classic rock feel merged with poetic lyrics drawn from a lifetime of experience and musical reflection. For Curreri, “Son of An American Dream” is a personal affirmation of the journey back to his childhood love of music.

Curreri’s team of musicians include Grammy-award winner Sammy Merendino (drums), two- time Grammy-award winner David Mansfield (fiddle and electric slide guitar), Roger Fife (bass), John Putnam (electric and acoustic guitars), Chris Palmaro (keyboards) and Katia Floreska (background vocals). This world-class ensemble of musicians has performed and recorded with many of today’s most notable music icons including Bob Dylan, Michael Jackson, Aretha Franklin, James Taylor, Billy Joel, Sting, Madonna, Cher and Cyndi Lauper.

For Curreri, the filming of the concert video marked a return to his musical roots. Almost four decades ago, Curreri was a regular on stage at the Bitter End and other Greenwich Village venues. After turning down a recording contract for both personal and family reasons, Curreri spent the next 40 years pursuing a successful career in advertising and academia. Now at 64, Curreri is finally following his childhood dream of creating music that is generating critical acclaim and a fast-growing international audience.

“Getting the chance to play at the Bitter End after almost four decades is literally a dream come true,” Curreri said. “This has been a real homecoming for me. I remember playing here as a kid. But this time it’s even sweeter. I held onto my dream all these years and never lost hope that one day, I would be standing here, on stage, backed up by an ensemble of world-renowned musicians, performing my original music to an appreciative, standing-room-only audience.”

The concert video was recorded by veteran cameramen Tony Forma and Herbert Forsberg, directed by Stefan Held of StevenHeroProductions LLC and will be produced by Bill Curreri Music, LLC in association with StevenHeroProductions LLC. Justin Adler of 10-9 Productions will edit the footage.

The videos will be released throughout the spring on Curreri’s website: www.BillCurreri.com
