The Journey Continues

Hard Road Home, Bill’s most ambitious album to date, continues his signature Rock Americana style fusing memorably moving melodies and poetically inspired lyrics with soaring three-part harmonies and a rock-solid beat. In Hard Road Home, Bill has produced a truly inspiring album around a key universal theme: self-fulfillment is only achieved through hard work and perseverance. And each song on the CD speaks to one of the many challenges we all may face during our lives.

Whether it be the eternal quest for self-fulfillment (Still Running), the negativism of a toxic relationship (Heart Of Stone), staying positive in an increasingly negative world (If Only To Be Me), balancing the idealism of youth vs. the wisdom of old age (A Fool’s Heart Crying), celebrating true friendship in an isolated digital world (Call My Name) or remaining steadfast in the face of adversity (The Point Of No Return), Bill’s message is clear, “Whatever happens to the life you live you got to understand it’s all within your hands.”

The CD ends with Bill revealing his personal life’s quest... finding his true love, Lydia. Says Bill, “In the end it was a series of failed relationships that ultimately led me to Lydia, a union of total mutual respect and acceptance.” That is Bill’s uniquely personal message in Hard Road Home: “I’m not half the man I’d hope to be. And yet I’m still your number one.”

Song Lyrics

Verse 1

There comes a time when you pay to play.
If your numbers up you gotta make your way.
I never thought that it could be this way...
The way you look tonight.
It's been a long road home just to be with you.
The way you took my hand... made me understand.
I never thought that it could be this way...
The way you look tonight.

Chorus 1

I saw angels fly when they had no wings.
I heard children cry 'cause they couldn't sing.
I saw beggars dance as if they would be king.
I saw mothers lie just to save the day.
I heard fathers cry 'cause they couldn't stay.
I saw old men grieve a life long gone astray.
It's been a hard road home.
Such a hard road home...
Oh it's been a hard road.

Verse 2

Whatever happens to the life you live
You gotta understand it's all within your hands.
I never thought that it could be this way...
The way she looks tonight.
I know some people say life's a one-act play.
You have to be your best... faith will do the rest.
I never thought that it could be this way...
The way she looks tonight.

Chorus 2

I saw angels fly when they had no wings.
I heard children cry 'cause they couldn't sing.
I saw beggars dance as if they would be king.
I saw mothers lie just to save the day.
I heard fathers cry 'cause they couldn't stay.
I saw old men grieve a life long gone astray.
It's been a hard road home.
Such a hard road home...
Oh it's been a hard road.

Chorus 3

I saw angels fly when they had no wings.
I heard children cry 'cause they couldn't sing.
I saw beggars dance as if they would be king.
I saw mothers lie just to save the day.
I heard fathers cry 'cause they couldn't stay.
I saw old men grieve a life long gone astray.
It's been a hard road home.

Another point in time when you realize

But I'm still... Running

Verse 1

Frozen in time... a measure of hope denied.
The cold winds of change pour down from the sky.
The laws of the past no longer can be applied.
The pain that's inside... can't be denied... nowhere to hide.

Chorus 1

When the truth cannot be found.
And your world is crumbling down.
Take a leap this time around...
A chance to be free.
You’ve no choice but to rebound.
Pick yourself up off the ground.
As you learn that you have found the point of no return...
The point of no return.

Verse 2

No time to dwell on changes that might have been.
Fear holds you down… the weight of your sins.
Hide from the truth... the light that you won't let in.
The point of a gun... with nowhere to run... still pulls from within.

Chorus 2

When the truth cannot be found.
And your world is crumbling down.
Take a leap this time around...
A chance to be free.
You’ve no choice but to rebound.
Pick yourself up off the ground.
As you learn that you have found the point of no return...
The point of no return.

Chorus 3

When the truth cannot be found.
And your world is crumbling down.
Take a leap this time around...
A chance to be free.
You’ve no choice but to rebound.

Pick yourself up off the ground.
As you learn that you have found the point of no return...
The point of no return.

The point of no return.

You gotta call my name…

Verse 1

There she stands... she's the woman with all the charm.
And there she goes... men clinging to both her velvet arms.
And how she vies for the envy of all the guys.
She knows too much to ever be out of touch.

Chorus 1

But she’s the one who’ll always be a friend
Even when her heart is on the mend.
She’s the one who never will pretend
As she looks into your eyes.
She’s the one who questions yet again
A steady stream of never ending men.
But she’s the one whose heart will never bend
Till she looks into his eyes.
She’s the one…

Verse 2

She fears that she may never be loved again.
She prays that she will someday be more than just a friend.
For now she can at the drop of a single hand
Arrange her life at the whim of her own command.

Chorus 2

But she’s the one who’ll always be a friend
Even when her heart is on the mend.
She’s the one who never will pretend
As she looks into your eyes.
She’s the one who questions yet again
A steady stream of never ending men.
But she’s the one whose heart will never bend
Till she looks into his eyes.
She’s the one…

Chorus 3

But she’s the one who’ll always be a friend
Even when her heart is on the mend.
She’s the one who never will pretend
As she looks into your eyes.
She’s the one who questions yet again
A steady stream of never ending men.
But she’s the one whose heart will never bend
Till she looks into his eyes.
She’s the one…

Verse 1

You know it does get old
When you're being told
There is no other way.
But you've done your best to change along the way.
And if the truth be told
You're just an ancient soul
All but hid away.
Yet you know there's still a lot you have to say.

Chorus 1

It’s just a fool’s heart crying
For a time long gone
When there was nothing wrong
With doing what you say.
It's just a fool's heart crying
Cause he's lost his way.
Yes, he’s lost his way.

Verse 2

Well you can still recall
Long before the fall
The sky was never grey.
There was a feeling all was right in every way.
But if the truth be told
Your heart has since grown cold
And turned to better days.
To a time that seems for now so far away.

Chorus 2

It’s just a fool’s heart crying
For a time long gone
When there was nothing wrong
With doing what you say.
It's just a fool's heart crying
Cause he's lost his way.
Yes, he’s lost his way.

Bridge

You know there's nothing you can do...
Your world is fading fast and closing in on you...

Chorus 3

It’s just a fool’s heart crying
For a time long gone
When there was nothing wrong
With doing what you say.
It's just a fool's heart crying
Cause he's lost his way.
Yes, he’s lost his way.

Outro

Just a fool with a heart that’s crying…
Come and see the fool with a heart that’s crying…
I am but a fool with a heart that’s crying…
Look at the fool with a heart that’s crying…
Come and see the fool with a heart that’s crying…
I am the fool with a heart that’s crying…

Verse 1

Doesn't matter what you say.
You’re gonna fake it it anyway.
You’re just another broken heart
Looking to be torn apart.
You can't fix what you can't see.
Knowing what's about to be
You take another worthless shot...
Looking through your long lost heart
You see... who you could never be.

Chorus 1

But I want to reach for the open sky
Never questioning who or why
When the clouds roll in.
And I never thought it would be this way.
Can't you see the price I paid
If only to be me.

Verse 2

Doesn't matter how it ends.
Faith alone can't make amends.
You’re just another broken soul
Hoping yet to be made whole.
You can't laugh if you can't cry.
Ask yourself the question why
You never seem to get the part
And always with a broken heart
You see... who you can never be.

Chorus 2

But I want to reach for the open sky
Never questioning who or why
When the clouds roll in.
And I never thought it would be this way.
Can't you see the price I paid
If only to be me.

Chorus 3

But I want to reach for the open sky
Never questioning who or why
When the clouds roll in.
And I never thought it would be this way.
Can't you see the price I paid
If only to be me.

Chorus 4

I want to reach for the open sky
Never questioning who or why
When the clouds roll in.
And I never thought it would be this way.
Can't you see the price I paid
If only to be me.

Outro

If only to be me.
If only to be me.

Forsaking her pride.
His was a love worth winning.
As strange as it seems
She still has her dreams.
But he's no longer in them.

Chorus 1

Love gone wrong...
There's nothing you can do
When two souls are set apart.
Love gone wrong...
There's nothing you can say
That can ease an aching heart.

And right from the start
Hers was a love worth winning.
As strange as it seems
He too has his dreams.
But she's no longer in them.

There's nothing you can do
When two souls are set apart.
Love gone wrong...
There's nothing you can say

When a child feels betrayed
And you’re the one they turn to? You see in their eyes
The tears they can't hide
And how your love has failed them.

Love gone wrong...
There's nothing you can do
When two souls are set apart.
Love gone wrong...
There's nothing you can say
That can ease an aching heart.

Promises forsaken...
Your love can never be denied.

I'm not half the man I use to be.
And yet I'm still your number one.

Track List

Song Lyrics

I came upon the truth one night
As I fled inside my dreams
Reflecting on the lessons of my life.
I tried so hard to make amends
And to set the record right.
I’m gonna make some changes in my life.

Cause I’m the son of an American dream.
Look at me and tell me what you see.
And I stand before you crisp and clean
Cause I’m the son of an American dream

You know a father’s schemes and a mother’s dreams
Can bring a young man down.
A helping hand can sometimes take a life.
But in the end we make amends and somehow get it right.
I’m gonna make some changes in my life.

Cause I’m the son of an American dream.
Look at me and tell me what you see.
And I stand before you crisp and clean
Cause I’m the son of an American dream.

(BREAK)

As long as I can stand my ground I’ll hold on to my dreams.
Only time will tell whose wrong or right.
And I need no one to thread on me
Staring down upon their throne.
I’m gonna make some changes in my life.

Cause I’m the son of an American dream.
Look at me and tell me what you see.
And I stand before you crisp and clean
Cause I’m the son of an American dream
Yes, I’m the son of an American dream.

I’m the son of an American dream.
Yes I’m the son of an American dream.
You know I’m the son of an American dream,
I’m the son of an American dream.

There’s something I can’t explain.
You said there would be no pain.
Yet nothing for me remains
But firelight.
A shadow that lurks the dark.
Forever a precious spark.
If only to be forgot.
It’s firelight.

You said you were the one for me.
You stood your ground for all to see.
You did your best to get to me.
Then you just fade away.
You said that there would be no rules.
Your words would shine like precious jewels.
You gave your heart to me to rule.
Then you just fade away.

There’s nearly a sense of shame.
And never a scent of blame.
She only gives up her name...
It’s firelight.
Try to discern her truth.
Pierce through her ruthless ruse.
If only to be confused.
It’s firelight.

You said you were the one for me.
You stood your ground for all to see.
You did your best to get to me.
Then you just fade away.
You said that there would be no rules.
Your words would shine like precious jewels.
You gave your heart to me to rule.
Then you just fade away.

Every little thing that you said to me
Is locked inside my heart.
Every little thing that you did for me
Forever stands apart.
There was a time when I knew you were the one.
Then came a time when my life
Became undone.

I’ve been waiting a long time...
Looking for a lifetime...
Searching for the next time...
To see you again.
I cried for the first time.
Laughed for the last time...
Prayed for the right time...
To see you again.
To see you again...

If ever there were thoughts of what should be
They’d always lead to you.
If ever there were words to comfort me
I could never make them true.
I did not know you were lost
From the start.
For I had my way and then failed
To do my part.

I’ve been waiting a long time...
Looking for a lifetime...
Searching for the next time...
To see you again.
I cried for the first time.
Laughed for the last time...
Prayed for the right time...
To see you again.
To see you again...

(BREAK)

You were the one who was right
From the start.
But sometimes it’s hard to believe
What’s in your heart.

I’ve been waiting a long time...
Looking for a lifetime...
Searching for the next time...
To see you again.
I cried for the first time.
Laughed for the last time...
Prayed for the right time...
To see you again.

I’ve been waiting a long time...
Looking for a lifetime...
Searching for the next time...
To see you again.
I cried for the first time.
Laughed for the last time...
Prayed for the right time...
To see you again.
To see you again.

To see you again.
To see you again.
To see you again.
To see you again.

I never thought it be this way.
I always thought that I could play.
There was a feeling I could fly.
And now you come to me with this.
You know you never could resist
Your need to cut me down to size.

You know you gotta hold on...
You know you gotta stay strong...
You know you gotta hold on...
To your heart.

You know it happens to be true.
And though it wasn’t meant for you
You took whatever you could find.
You tried to steal me with a kiss.
You knew I never would resist.
But now its time for me to fly.

You know you gotta hold on...
You know you gotta stay strong...
You know you gotta hold on...
To your heart.

All things must come to pass.
What held such promise often never does last.
You know truth can be so elusive.
When all is said and done
We’re all just strangers taking comfort on the run.
Heaven knows it’s driving me crazy.

She’s still got a hold on me!
She’s still got a hold on me!
She’s still got a hold on me... Can’t you see?
She’s driving me crazy!
She’s still got a hold on me!
She’s still got a hold on me!

I know there comes a time
When dreams must end... no more mountains to climb.
Hard to find and harder to face it.
And though she’s long since gone
Her voice still haunts me and to her I’m still drawn.
Heaven knows she’s driving me crazy.

She’s still got a hold on me!
She’s still got a hold on me!
She’s still got a hold on me... Can’t you see?
She’s driving me crazy!
She’s still got a hold on me!

It’s 8 am and time to rise.
The tv draws us to our prize
To see the man we knew as Captain Jack.
He laughs with us to start our day
Even shows us how to pray.
Oh how we loved that Captain Jack.

You’re the one the kids call Captain Jack.
You’re the one they say is coming back.
We think of you throughout our day
Even though we cannot play
With the man we knew as Captain Jack.

The morning’s now a different pace.
That child-like look has left our face.
And in it’s place there is no Captain Jack.
There was a time when we’d just stare
At the man we loved so dear...
The man we came to know as, Captain Jack.

You’re the one the kids call Captain Jack.
You’re the one they say is coming back.
We think of you throughout our day
Even though we cannot play

There is no illusion.
She’s a woman who is too good to be true.
But she is never in disguise.
There is no confusion.
She’s a lady who will always stand by you.
You can see that in her heart and in her eyes.

Well she’s a long-term girl
In a short-term world
With a smile that tells all she’s your girl.
A touch of sweet surrender
In the night.
And she’s always there
To show how much she cares.
And there’s never any maybes.
Just another sunshine day...
With Lydia.
My Lydia.

There is no delusion.
There are moments when we don’t quite get it right.
But she is never one to fight.
A simple conclusion.
She’s a lady who’s a prize in her own right.
You can see that in the way she lights the night.

Well she’s a long-term girl
In a short-term world
With a smile that tells all she’s your girl.
A touch of sweet surrender
In the night.
And she’s always there
To show how much she cares.

We were the ones who wondered why
Caught in our dreams which too would die.
Destiny’s lie
Hoping only to turn the tide
Of the waters which once were ours to cry.

Last chance for changes
Last chance for changes
I said last chance for changes in our lives.

Hard to believe how time does fly.
A turn of the head...
A flash of the eye.
But the time will come
When the problems and we are one.
Still I gotta believe that we’ll survive.

Last chance for changes
Last chance for changes
Last chance for changes in our lives.

What kind of fool do you think would want this?
Each day arrives not knowing what’s to come.
She knows your patience is your weakness.
She’s got your heart under her thumb.

Pain is coming.
Pain is near.
Pain is coming.
You can feel it in the air.
You can taste it in the air.

Some find it easy to condemn her
As evil sheds its crude disguise.
Yet she’s the one who says she won’t be mistreated.
She’s got that fire in her eyes.

Pain is coming.
Pain is near.
Pain is coming.
You can feel it in the air.
You can taste it in the air.

(BREAK)

What kind of woman weaves such sadness?
And does she know or does she even care?
But now her silence tells her story.
There’s nothing left but her despair.

Pain is coming.
Pain is near.
Pain is coming.
You can feel it in the air.
You can taste it in the air.
You can feel it everywhere

Pain is coming...
Pain is near.
Pain is coming...
Pain is coming...
Pain is coming...
Pain is coming...

Lay me down.
I don’t want to walk this road no more.
My body’s broken and been washed up on the shore.
Lay me down.
There’s nothing left for me to answer for.
My soul is searching...and it won’t come back no more.

But I’m alright now.
Yes, I’m alright now
You know I’m alright now...
Since I lay my burden down.

Lay me down.
I’m afraid I’ve nothing left to give.
My freedom’s faded... and my life has been outlived.
Lay me down.
Let me dwell on all that might have been.
My heart is heavy... and is burdened with my sins.

But I’m alright now.
Yes, I’m alright now
You know I’m alright now...
Since I lay my burden down.

(BREAK)

But I’m alright now.
Yes, I’m alright now
You know I’m alright now...
Since I lay my burden down.

Alright now... Yes I laid that burden down.
Alright now... You know I laid my burden down.
Alright now... You gotta lay that burden down.
Alright now... Since I lay my burden down.
Alright now... Yes I laid that burden down.
Alright now... You know I laid my burden down.
Alright now... You gotta lay that burden down

Track List

Song Lyrics

There’s something strange I can’t tell about you.
Except that you’re the child with the golden hair.
I can’t live with you and I can’t live without you.
Walking down the street your voice is everywhere.
It’s been years since you tried to get to me
And now you say you want to set things right…

It’s been a long time… brother such a long, long time.
Since I’ve seen you act this way.
It’s been a long time… brother such a long, long time.
But as of now you’re gonna pay.

There’s something wrong I can’t tell about you.
Except that you’re the child for whom the seas would part.
I’ve often wondered how greed could corrupt you.
Your broken soul bought and broke my heart.
It’s been years since I bled my heart for you
Tears long lost along with sleepless nights…

It’s been a long time.. brother such a long, long time.
Since I’ve seen you act this way.
It’s been a long time… brother such a long, long time.
But as of now you’re gonna pay.

(BREAK)

It’s been a long time… brother such a long, long time.
Since I’ve seen you act this way.
It’s been a long time… brother such a long, long time.
But as of now you’re gonna pay.

This time I’ll take a chance
Kick back… Be a little stronger.
This time I’ll make it last
Think smart… be a little bolder.

This too shall pass.
No time can last forever.
Forget the past.
Can’t change what doesn’t matter.
This time I know… This time I see
This time I’m gonna make it.
This time I’m gonna make it yea, ahh ah ah ah ah ah uh

Back then the road was where
You’d sit back … drive a little faster.
Back then the goal was clear.
Think big… and be your own master.

But that too did pass.
That too’s all but a memory.
Forget the past,
Can’t change what doesn’t matter.
This time I know… This time I see…
This time I’m gonna make it.
This time I’m gonna make it yea, ahh ah ah ah ah ah uh

(BREAK)

Next time you take a chance
Kick back… Be a little stronger
Next time you make it last
Think smart… Be a little bolder.

That too shall pass.
No time can last forever.
Forget the past.
Can’t change what doesn’t matter.
This time I know… This time I see…
This time I’m gonna make it.
This time I’m gonna make it yea, ahh ah ah ah ah ah uh

Look at me now
See how time has changed me.
Long days…
And even longer nights.
There was a time
The world was at my fingers.

I could grab the brass ring.
I could do anything.
When I was a king.

Women would dance
To capture my attention.
Fortune and fame
Worshipped at my feet.
All of my dreams
Were there for the taking.

I could grab the brass ring.
I could do anything.
When I was a king.

(BREAK)

Look at me now
See how life’s betrayed me.
Know now
My fate is yours to come.
Alone in the night
My memories all that’s left me.

I could grab the brass ring.
I could do anything
When I was a king.

When I was a king…
When I was a king…

There’s something in the air this night.
There’s something wrong… it’s just not right.
You were the one I gave my life.
And now your touch is cold as ice.

When did we cross that solid line?
How could I not know all this time?
There were the lies I couldn’t tell.
Inside my world all was well.

There’s no way back now baby.
The fire’s all but gone.
And all that’s left now baby
Cold ashes on the ground.

Now I’m running ‘round in a circle thinking ‘bout
What I could have done and what I should have said.
I’m running ‘round in a circle thinking ‘bout
What we’ve lost this night.

(BREAK)

There’s no way back now baby.
The fire’s all but gone.
And all that’s left now baby
Cold ashes on the ground.

Now I’m running ‘round in a circle thinking ‘bout
What I could have done and what I should have said.
I’m running ‘round in a circle thinking ‘bout
What we’ve lost this night.

There’s something in the air tonight.
There’s something wrong… it’s just not right

It’s just a matter of a conversation
Before she has you on a string.
You know it’s only your imagination
Deception is her King.

You take a chance and find romance
As she captures you inside.
She has a way of stealing souls
She’s the devil in disguise…

She’s gone but she’s not forgotten.
She’ll be back… you know she always will.
She’s gone but she’s not forsaken.
She’s a feather in the wind.

Then there’s a matter of a revelation.
You know it happens all the time.
You’re attracted to her consolations.
She’s gonna get you every time.

You surrender to her one last time
As she sees it in your eyes.
She’s gonna have her way with you
She’s the devil in disguise…

She’s gone but she’s not forgotten.
She’ll be back… you know she always will.
She’s gone but she’s not forsaken.
She’s a feather in the wind.
Just a feather in the wind…

(BREAK)

She’s gone but she’s not forgotten.
She’ll be back… you know she always will.
She’s gone but she’s not forsaken.
She’s a feather in the wind.
Just a feather in the wind…
She’s a feather in the wind…
Like a feather in the wind…
She’s a feather in the wind…
Just a feather in the wind…
She’s a feather in the wind…
Like a feather in the wind…
She’s a feather in the wind.
Just a feather in the wind…

On the road from here to nowhere
We seem to have lost our way.
What’s right for me may not be right for you.
The constants of the ages past
So sacred, so revered
Lost in the sands as we knelt down to pray.
Oh, I know that we should try somehow
To seek shelter from the rain.
But it’s hard to cry for help sometime
When you can’t feel the pain.

Know Yourself… Know Yourself.
And the world you thought that you could never see
Could finally become reality
If you’d only know yourself.

As the sun comes up from nowhere
As it warms the new-found day
A child stands tall, silver gun in hand.
Choosing now to have it all
His elders chase their dreams
Lost in themselves, nowhere to be seen.
Oh, I know that we should try somehow
To seek shelter from the rain.
But it’s hard to cry for help sometime
When you can’t feel the pain.

Know Yourself… Know Yourself.
And the world you thought that you could never see
Could finally become reality
If you’d only know yourself.

(BREAK)

Stay with me… If only just for one last time.
Tell me how much you care.
Hold on and keep me near.
Can’t you see I’m not prepared to say goodbye.
There’s no time for us to cry…
No time to question why.

Remember when you told me not to run too far?
Well I thought that you should know
Despite how far I’d go
You were always by my side.
There’s still so much to tell you… How, the time did fly!
But it’s hard to make a change
Hard to rearrange
So hard to say goodbye

Stay with me…It’s not yet time to say goodbye.
There’s so much I want to say
But time now is in the way.
Can’t you see… I’ve done all that you’ve asked of me
Stay just one moment more
My love’s forevermore.

Remember when you told me not to run too far?
Well I thought that you should know
Despite how far I’d go
You were always by my side.
There’s still so much to tell you… How, the time did fly!
But it’s hard to make a change.
Hard to rearrange.
So hard to say goodbye.

Despite how far I’d go
You were always by my side.
There’s still so much to tell you… How the time did fly!
But it’s hard to make a change
Hard to rearrange
So hard to say goodbye.
Yes it’s hard to make a change
Hard to rearrange
So hard to say goodbye.

I put you in
And I’ll take you out
You’ve had your dreams
Now its time to pay out.

It don’t matter
Just lay your money down

There was a time
Not too long ago
When all that mattered
Was all you need know.

Now it don’t matter.
You just lay your money down.
Yea, it don’t matter.
You gotta lay that money down

(BREAK)

I put you in
And I’ll take you out.
You’ve had your dreams
Now its time to pay out.

It don’t matter.
You just lay your money down.
Yea it don’t matter.
You gotta lay that money down.

You gotta lay that money down.
Just lay that money down.
C’mon and lay that money down.
Just lay that money down.
C’mon and lay that money down.
Just lay your money down

Can I be the one to tell you I love you?
Locked in your dreams; forever be true.
Open your arms and baby let me be the one.
We’ve had our chances hoping to make it
Only to find it wouldn’t quite do.
Lift up your heart and tell me I’m the one.
Ooh, let me be the one…
Ooh, let me be the one.

It’s easy to settle, harder to make it.
That makes it better when it comes due.
Just take a chance and baby let me be the one.
Heard all the stories, seen all the faces.
People still searching, never quite through.
Think with your heart and tell me I’m the one.
Ooh, let me be the one…
Ooh, let me be the one.

(BREAK)

Can I be the one to tell you I love you?
Can I be the one to tell you I care?
Open your heart and baby let me be the one.
Seeking the dream we all seem to want it
Knowing there’s someone needing it too.
Give me your heart and tell me I’m the one.
Ooh, let me be the one…
Ooh, let me be the one.

Old friend…
The worlds we knew don’t need us now.
We use to fly so high
Our spirits filled the sky.
But I know I can rely
On my old friend.

Old friend
The times we knew still fill us now.
We use to laugh and cry
And never question why.
And you know I can rely
On my old friend.

And if you want someone to give a hand
And if you need someone to make a stand.
I just want to help you…
I’ve seen that lonely place before.

(BREAK)
